Includes 3 autograph letters signed from E.A. Webb, East Grinstead, to "Mr. Johnston" (almost certainly Philip Mainwaring Johnston). (1-2) concern the wardenship of St. Bartholomew's, Webb's position which he hoped to persuade Johnston to take. (3) Thanks Johnston for sending his paper on Cocking Church. (4) consists of notes on St. Bartholomew's Smithfield, possibly in a different hand, illustrated with drawings of architectural details.
